and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H43575424EFE54E58B9A1CCCC5C14E16F"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by striking <quote>after submitting the report required by subsection (d)(3),</quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HCF33FF7FFB8B4A5F82F969434087CA9A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (d)—</text><subparagraph id="H797B3769F7A3496EAA61BC3C42BE53AC"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)—</text><clause id="H3DE89E61C7D74A74A4C64503F3EA82A6"><enum>(i)</enum><text>in the heading, by adding <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC">with integrated modeling</header-in-text></quote> after <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC">data</header-in-text></quote>;</text></clause><clause id="HC6C76D77BBB845ECAB25F4DB5B67469C"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>by striking <quote>emerging technologies for snowpack measurement, such as</quote> and inserting <quote>technologies that provide complete integration of accurate, timely, and spatially complete snowpack measurements and models, including the integration of</quote>; and</text></clause><clause id="H222F2B1E3C264B99A4044003DEC8C63A"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>by striking subparagraphs (A) through (C) and inserting the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5E5C6AE3B9F44448A96884004E5304E7" changed="added" reported-display-style="italic" committee-id="HII00"><subparagraph id="H2046041DA82447B588C97E7719CD87DD"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">airborne laser altimetry; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H3B0A3FDD6D6146BA8E2C9E00C53AA0C5"><enum>(B)</enum><text>imaging spectroscopy; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HECE2CB242A3547C9B5371109D184A74F"><enum>(C)</enum><text>integrated physics-based snowpack and hydrologic modeling; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HB82AE6BDB7584293BBB65F740C8837C3"><enum>(D)</enum><text>other technologies that the Secretary determines are likely to provide more accurate or timely snowpack measurement data commensurate with operational water management needs.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE0ADCA4CD4AB4DA88D3729DAFD68A113"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2) by inserting <quote>, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Natural Resources Conservation Service,</quote> after <quote>other Federal agencies</quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H47BC14E8B5C343B0B4B0B21B9B3781E8"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (3);</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HCCF24859897346D39583425568F57225"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (e)—</text><subparagraph id="HBF47281D348F4CB59976F3F15465B5CE"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>After submitting the report required under subsection (d)(3), the</quote> and inserting <quote>The</quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H47E4A4309B6E49BFBB327FF556B7D314"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (2) and inserting the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA8574F590B4E4525B91D349FBB7523DB" changed="added" reported-display-style="italic" committee-id="HII00"><paragraph id="HC39AA0FD0000473199D1ADFCEA7D887C"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Focus</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The program shall focus on activities that will maintain, establish, expand, or advance snowpack measurement and integrated modeling, with an emphasis on—</text><subparagraph id="H7CD0FE34A1D544DD99B9609F29615136"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">enhancing activities to achieve improved snow and water supply forecasting results that are more responsive to changing weather and watershed conditions; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HDFB4EF3031784327B13A1DDE75C629F9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>real-time integration of activities described in this section with water supply forecasts; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H9C5B95E92EC549C6B2EE1517AB79C924"><enum>(C)</enum><text>activities in river basins where activities described in this section can produce snow and water supply data to inform water management decisions, including interstate water management decisions; and </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H80DD6AE4EB1E4ACCA7E020040B2F8067"><enum>(D)</enum><text>building program partners’ capacity to implement and adapt to the new measurement and forecast capabilities enabled under this program.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HAB0F6617C0B04071AF1EB921AF48C6AB"><enum>(4)</enum><text>in subsection (f)—</text><subparagraph id="H648EB4A96D7C4FE19E45D8AEACA85E8B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>of this Act</quote> and inserting <quote>of the <short-title>Snow Water Supply Forecasting Reauthorization Act of 2025</short-title></quote>;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HB9E9C266EEB54600A42E5E5D43C81511"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)—</text><clause id="HE8A232197B97465ABBFBD803F14C547A"><enum>(i)</enum><text>by striking <quote>and sub-basins</quote>;</text></clause><clause id="H73A7CA0117484BA68699E28A12E5D9FC"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>by striking <quote>technologies</quote> and inserting <quote>and integrated modeling technologies</quote>; and</text></clause><clause id="H876CF0F57B43410DA00AF23EF78BE28F"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>by striking <quote>technology used</quote> and inserting <quote>application, outcome, and data resources used</quote>; and</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HB56B27A4B62E4A9AA5D542BF3F82E015"><enum>(C)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>or sub-basin</quote>; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HC3937077EA6E46B4989BBC77ADBC8D12"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (g), by striking <quote>$15,000,000, in the aggregate, for fiscal years 2022 through 2026</quote> and inserting <quote>$6,500,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body><endorsement display="yes"><action-date date="20250915">September 15, 2025</action-date><action-desc>Reported with an amendment, committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
