<section id="H7CF42750A52A4E58B95E5AF5F5D7DEC4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>REAL ID Gender Requirement Reform Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H8CBAB9CAE2FA4945BE2C9EF9AB0A5222"><enum>2.</enum><header>Identification requirements</header> <subsection id="HE2ABAAF532D64632915491C32C52E7DB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 202(b) of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/30301">49 U.S.C. 30301</external-xref> note) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H5AD998AB174741C1970619FC45ABB26A"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking paragraph (3);</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB1D7D00EEF58445EBF5C323E518CA18E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraphs (4) through (9) as paragraphs (3) through (8), respectively; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HF94C2B8963B04F0F9EA9085DB9A68E32"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="HE43AE460E9F94CA6943375A85BE0A930" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <subsection id="H03F51F0F407E48B68B191A9564796EA8"><enum>(e)</enum><header>State determination of listing gender</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A State may determine whether to include a gender or sex field required for a driver’s license and identification card issued to a person by the State. If a State includes any such gender or sex identification, a person shall indicate the appropriate designation without any additional documentation requirement (such as a doctor’s note) and the State shall include an unspecified or other designation in the gender or sex field in addition to male or female. </text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H0D59764FF3DC4940B16E5660EEF6DCF4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Technical and conforming amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 508(a)(1) of the Court Security Improvement Act of 2007 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/30301">49 U.S.C. 30301</external-xref> note) is amended by striking <quote>section 202(b)(6)</quote> and inserting <quote>section 202(b)(5)</quote>.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
