<section id="H0E5AB58C4815491BA48D09F930A7E322" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Second Chance Reauthorization Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H4B6BCC942EE2491B804B202DBBB9317F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Improvements to existing programs</header> <subsection id="HCB54BD014B9C42BEB75DAC7BF011C642"><enum>(a)</enum><header>State and local reentry demonstration projects</header><text>Section 2976 of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10631">34 U.S.C. 10631</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
<paragraph id="H75418263ED9241089F70365509E9735F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (b)—</text> <subparagraph id="H56C63BE39DCC4B94B0D4D50552092DBC"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (7), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="HB34E57FA06BB4F7C8E31F343ED72813C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (8), by striking the period at the end; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H627D7075AD35427DA5A816C5AE61B9D9"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>

<paragraph id="H1AA675CC718E432BA327EBE4B508F7E2"><enum>(9)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">treating substance use disorders, including by providing peer recovery services, case management, and access to overdose education and overdose reversal medications; and </text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD108ECE383964D469BE4053AFEF8BBC0"><enum>(10)</enum><text>providing reentry housing services.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and </after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H4644E52533D84027BF35DF31AAB2788D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (o)(1), by striking <quote>2019 through 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 through 2030</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H72B6669465BB449A82EE716333978048"> <enum>(b)</enum> <header>Grants for family-Based substance abuse treatment</header> <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2926(a) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10595a">34 U.S.C. 10595a(a)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2019 through 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 through 2030</quote>.</text>
      </subsection>
<subsection id="HEC0CBE633E634593AEB3802AD4B1ADDD">
        <enum>(c)</enum>
        <header>Grant program To evaluate and improve educational methods at prisons, jails, and
          juvenile facilities</header>
 <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1001(28) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10261">34 U.S.C. 10261(28)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 through 2030</quote>.</text>
      </subsection>
<subsection id="H6D505F1E8AC94B4FBE07500823CDD50F"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Careers training demonstration grants</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 115(f) of the Second Chance Act of 2007 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/60511">34 U.S.C. 60511(f)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 through 2030</quote>.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H3D19761C169D4F89BD44F99583B10B96"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Offender reentry substance abuse and criminal justice collaboration program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 201(f)(1) of the Second Chance Act of 2007 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/60521">34 U.S.C. 60521(f)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2019 through 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 through 2030</quote>.</text></subsection>

        <enum>(f)</enum>
        <header>Community-Based mentoring and transitional service grants to nonprofit
          organizations</header>
 <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 211(f) of the Second Chance Act of 2007 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/60531">34 U.S.C. 60531(f)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2019 through 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 through 2030</quote>.</text>
