<section id="H6F6BA4F6114D41DE8840D899D7D390E3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Exclusion of military bonuses</header> 
<subsection id="H6B5D97C918AD48ACB104D77A7578A753"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/134">section 134</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking <quote>any qualified military benefit</quote> and inserting <quote>any bonus paid to a member of the uniformed services under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/37/5">chapter 5</external-xref> of title 37, United States Code, or any qualified military benefit</quote>.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H60B3766E66EF4E18A2BF3E3064A5D275"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by this section shall apply to taxable years beginning after December 31, 2024.</text> </subsection></section>
