<section id="HC5512F8227EB4BB8897A3A657F02B73D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Supporting Our Surviving Spouses Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section>
<section id="HDFA869EA3A934C8AB619AD7288D39E5C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Removing statute of limitations on certain claims against United States Government</header> 
<subsection id="H31AF1E804B6F4E63A9EFF3A12FCE54EA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3702(b)(1) of title 31, United States Code, is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H79982CCA153C4962AC5F2410CCFA09BF"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H813ED5FF1035462599598FA5C97E9918"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; or</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H8FF15345621C4FA38FC83DE09DA87E73"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" id="H6DFC928509154CF095FE2C8935273D27" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subparagraph id="HF17EC6C1B5EE4E00A86329A99B108357" indent="up1"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">a claim for survivor benefits under subsection (a)(1)(A) by a survivor of a member of the armed forces who died in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001, in which case no time limitation for the receipt of such claim shall apply.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H51838B2226E54540883E68EC2AEC53D7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to a claim filed on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
