<section id="H1FD3198B60CE41C59024B2D7C68C6D1E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Certified Nursing Assistant Workforce Improvement Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H6C3C1FA1E1944B8FAE72B6BA6E38DA66"><enum>2.</enum><header>Adjusting certain training requirements for certified nursing assistants in nursing facilities and skilled nursing facilities</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this section, the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall revise section 483.152(a)(5)(i) of title 42, Code of Federal Regulations, such that, for purposes of the training requirements applicable to nurse aides pursuant to section 1819(f)(2) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395i-3">42 U.S.C. 1395i–3(f)(2)</external-xref>) and section 1919(f)(2) of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1396r">42 U.S.C. 1396r(f)(2)</external-xref>), a registered nurse who provides general supervision for such training must possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, without regard to whether any portion of such experience is in the provision of long term care facility services.</text></section> </legis-body></bill>
