<section id="H55FC161EAD4C4CB28CD6DA556787BFEB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Veterans’ Security and Pay Transparency Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H69D90F8160D64AEF824F39FDCF7B4F7F" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Annual report on compensation for police officers of the Department of Veterans Affairs</header> <subsection id="HDFFDB004B17648CD8A181942D9BEC2AC"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Establishment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/38/9">Chapter 9</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text>

<section id="H46AA11E8A40641128B883B32B0EC8E73"><enum>906.</enum><header>Annual report on compensation for Department police officers</header>
<subsection id="H63F728639D6D4381892A0F38E7B8EC45"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not less than once each calendar year, the Secretary shall submit to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of Representatives a report on compensation paid to Department police officers. Each such report shall include the following elements, disaggregated by facility of the Department and positions described in subsection (b):</text> <paragraph id="HFA8944D47BCA42C596BF1CD9841C2445"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Salaries.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H24D7FE8F53164641934E5752E3433228"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Availability pay under section 5545a of title 5.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H8C8174B82C9D41479A0154993B0879F0"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Bonuses to recruit or retain Department police officers.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H1439C9BB0E3F48E9A034429D68832167"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any other compensation paid to a Department police officer.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H476D1805401449C8B933C18049842DBB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Positions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A position described in this subsection is a position in the following series (or successor classifications) of the General Schedule:</text>
<paragraph id="H83F8550CDBD247FFB2BE052E53F3E9C6"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Chief of Police (GS–0080).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H95B56D32A2124A98A1533BD5E0B2DEEF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Deputy Chief of Police (GS–0080).</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HB1412D83A9044CDBA210D7009557D1BC"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Supervisory Police Officer (GS–0083).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H2D5E43B7AB6345F2935269FBF520C7E8"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Criminal Investigator (GS–1811).</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H9D75ED1657EC47308F6782ADAF338E54"><enum>(5)</enum><text>Police Detective (GS–0083).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HBEC80F4BB99242FA8C3E69203E7BE815"><enum>(6)</enum><text>Police Officer (GS–0083).</text></paragraph>

<subsection id="H2F30DC400F404EA9A9E37A134332A827" commented="no"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Implementation</header><text>The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall submit the first report under section 906 of such title, as added by this section, not later than six months after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
