<section id="H06C12E74A66A41338FDDA7DD97AA925C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Harvest to Hue Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H7E33119669394633A3ED4851F5EB0374"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Congress finds the following:</text> <paragraph id="H4053CD9CD9E34321B5C5601C762DBE36"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">United States farmers are at the forefront in providing healthy, nutritious agricultural products, and therefore poised to make valuable contributions to our Nation’s food supply resources.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA3DEBD378D724C7BBBB755266C624D3B"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The foundation of our food supply rests on objective science and risk-based evaluation processes that support public health, transparency, and building consumer trust and safety.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H854EC5AF724648CBAF07D1DD22EB4F41"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Through proactive efforts to meet consumers’ preferences while upholding science and the safety of products, many efforts have been dedicated to enhancing consumer access to safe, affordable, and convenient product choices.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H68D6E6EB331E4AA8B75D77CC16C55384"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">United States agriculture can play a vital role in providing natural food color additives, broadening markets for United States farmers while promoting benefits to our food supply.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H4C5DAC1D6286414C9B358DDCF3360CB6"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The cultivation, growing, and harvesting of ingredients necessary to create natural colors at scale meeting consumer, food industry, and public health demands, will ensure the continued integrity of food resources in the United States.</text></paragraph></section> 
<section id="H43347EF87A384D4CBFCA343CFED57F4B"><enum>3.</enum><header>Enhancing capacity of United States farmers to produce natural color additives</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of Agriculture shall—</text> <paragraph id="H25692BE6BECD49E9AEE940A4E6D4D828"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">facilitate efforts within the Department of Agriculture to enhance the capacity of United States farmers to grow, produce, and harvest agricultural goods to be used as natural color additives in the food supply;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H44F40FB5E18343AA83F1B73B891D816E"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">promote collaboration among the Department of Agriculture, other Federal agencies, agriculture producers, and food industry partners to support and facilitate the production of natural color additives derived from agricultural components; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HC76C192FAE214EB1A43637AEE3A8B7E2"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">focus research initiatives, within existing research capabilities, to support United States agriculture’s contribution to natural color additives resources.</text></paragraph></section>
