<official-title display="yes">To reestablish the National Coal Council in the Department of Energy to provide advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Energy on matters related to coal and the coal industry, and for other purposes.<pagebreak/></official-title>

<section id="H2A5F4AF550D7447FA16F1F96719B89F7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National Coal Council Reestablishment Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HDD3B668671C243CD8C5AC2081744B5F2"><enum>2.</enum><header>National Coal Council</header> <subsection id="HC58990B7E55943149CD9BBB972C55E45"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Energy shall reestablish in the Department of Energy the National Coal Council, in accordance with the charter for the National Coal Council that was in effect on November 19, 2021.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HC6A44B8FD973429D82B48C8742EBCDD2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability of the Federal Advisory Committee Act</header> 
<paragraph id="H19BB2C28EBA746448266CCD9ADF521E7"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject to paragraph (2), <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/10">chapter 10</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, (commonly referred to as the <quote>Federal Advisory Committee Act</quote>) and section 552b(c) of title 5, United States Code, shall apply to the National Coal Council.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H81278A85EF104ACBB976E953F7F33F83"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Termination</header><text>Section 1013 of title 5, United States Code, shall not apply to the National Coal Council.</text></paragraph></subsection></section>
