<section id="HA3A2BA58BAA7471290028F98E16152F1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Accounting STEM Pursuit Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H6AB5F560A5DA4CE39030CA39898A8A73"><enum>2.</enum><header>Accounting as part of a well-rounded educational experience</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Subpart 1 of part A of title IV of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/7111">20 U.S.C. 7111 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H535E2C3BD68F4F328DAE9D32DC8022EC"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 4104(b)(3)(A)(i)—</text> <subparagraph id="HF1CDD11D33164FCA9EFB96D1301F861B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subclause (VI), by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HFB02CCEBBC9645CBBB6384B7DC7B536E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by redesignating subclause (VII) as subclause (VIII); and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H98B0B2943D844F9696CEC64B381CF19F"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by inserting after subclause (VI) the following new subclause:</text>

<subclause id="H71AEBE913FB146428585C9E2C9E83624"><enum>(VII)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">accounting education, including accounting career awareness; or</text></subclause><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H3FCBA887E32F463981A3D40D5B87AD3E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section 4107(a)(3)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HE83DE56CD98D4105B89813A0450A535E"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subparagraph (I), by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H11516A1021F54D24BDCF0E8D78005524"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by redesignating subparagraph (J) as subparagraph (K); and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HB3DD68D1F04A473E9D9CED65DE5694EC"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by inserting after subparagraph (I) the following new subparagraph:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="H1EB1B33C8D25468EB9DDFB36EA132430" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <subparagraph id="H90AFE64015B243FDBA64DCD0403E2B1E"><enum>(J)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">activities to promote the development, implementation, and strengthening of programs to teach accounting, including increasing access to high-quality accounting courses for students through grade 12 who are members of groups underrepresented in accounting careers; or</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph></section>
