<section id="HB12099E985254CD79E3F7221CE31F684" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Deregulating Restrictions on Interstate Vehicles and Eighteen-wheelers Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>DRIVE Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section id="H77429448FACB41CEAC37FC892DE61CFC" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on requiring speed limiting devices</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration may not issue any rule or regulation to require vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds operating in interstate commerce to be equipped with a speed limiting device set to a maximum speed. </text></section>
