<section section-type="section-one" id="H28C266FE079B498AB23C8A59CB6FC2BE"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Pell Grant Flexibility Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section section-type="subsequent-section" id="H6B4699D52765412F980CF28CC276D3C3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendments to the Higher Education Act of 1965</header> <text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 401(b)(2) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1070a">20 U.S.C. 1070a(b)(2)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H92F1791EA3DB4CB39BE63AF98A88ECD4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>In any case</quote> and inserting the following: </text> <quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H58BB706763DB44E0B536F21032FC3E8E"> <subparagraph id="H395D04460418409586281DC0F4934645"><enum>(A)</enum><header>Reduction</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Except as provided in subparagraph (B), in any case</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HEE267F28083B433CBA8377676743D877"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4BBBAC27BCE34AC1AFC1F532C5879A81"> <subparagraph id="H72CCCBAF21664D60A797AC8D97EC1ADE"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Students with disabilities</header> <clause id="HB3B290D4A7194929B4A1DD5042411BB4"><enum>(i)</enum><header>In general</header><text>In the case of a student with a disability (as defined in section 3 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/12102">42 U.S.C. 12102</external-xref>)) for whom a reduced course load has been determined appropriate by the institution of higher education, the student's enrollment in the reduced course load or 5 credits (or the equivalent), whichever is greater, shall be deemed to be enrollment on a full-time basis for purposes of calculating the amount of the Federal Pell Grant to which the student is entitled. </text></clause> 
<clause id="HE46CCFF3E4E34306B2213DB9FE50EDBF"><enum>(ii)</enum><header>Limited application</header><text>A determination under clause (i) shall not be used in the calculation of Federal Pell Grant semester eligibility under subsection (d)(5).</text></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
