<section id="HFF11A137227A4E6BA8D080F5E668DCD4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Expanding Appalachia’s Broadband Access Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HE99B9E6AF3B341B8B65676F84DCB01A5"><enum>2.</enum><header>GAO study on low-orbit satellites</header> <subsection id="H361A0B909FBD4CE0BC2B26FE1F133E1F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this section, the Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct, and submit to Congress the results thereof, a study on the capability of the Appalachian Regional Commission to incorporate low-orbit satellites in broadband projects.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H81CA915F5F5B412997B37D9655D52DAC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text>In conducting the study under subsection (a), the Comptroller General shall—</text> <paragraph id="HDBE27FE38E6A48E7855F13DD0962E34E"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">review the capacity of low-orbit satellite services to be used for business purposes;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H36CD012AF1D64CA38FF29DADD4FC5DFC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>evaluate economic development growth in areas that have used low-orbit satellites for businesses; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H87AA11C83AC243F3AF992EE1E804A34C"><enum>(3)</enum><text>analyze the cost-effectiveness of implementing broadband satellites for economic development.</text></paragraph></subsection></section>
