<section id="H9B63DB37B16B4903B626FEC851CFB509" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Keep the Watchdogs Running Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HE67337E5256B43D5A3B3350CFD2E896E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Inspector general oversight during lapse in appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 406(g) of title 5, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block id="HD49EFF19A9F841508D366B84CE3FA7C6" style="USC"> 
<paragraph id="HA27671A82BB44AB3B5EFDF743D1DF4F4"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Oversight during lapse in appropriations</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law and in addition to any other authority, during a lapse in appropriations, an Inspector General may incur obligations in advance of appropriations—</text> <subparagraph id="H84759D87EC4C404EA4BF068A44FE44F4"><enum>(A)</enum><text>for such amounts as may be necessary and at a rate for operations and under the authority and conditions as provided in the most recently enacted appropriations Acts; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HFF23D2FD05B64D01A1893DEB1B2F7380"><enum>(B)</enum><text>to perform the duties of the Office with respect to any program and operation of the establishment that continues during the lapse in appropriations.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> </legis-body></bill>
