<section id="H039247A55CD6401DBBC265463A3DEA78" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Optional year-round application of daylight saving time</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3(a) of the Uniform Time Act of 1966 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/260a">15 U.S.C. 260a</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H861756EA80A24BE09089E3D81BCAE19F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>or may by law apply the advancement of time described in this section for the duration of the year,</quote> after <quote>may by law exempt itself from the provisions of this subsection providing for the advancement of time,</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3C8A2176B64D46108A2D139EA65BFBB4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>the standard time otherwise applicable during that period</quote> and inserting <quote>the same standard time</quote>;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H070D02214A7041C7AED7C3932469F05E"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>may by law exempt either the entire State as provided in (1) or</quote> and inserting <quote>, by law, may apply either standard time provided for in paragraph (1) to the entire State,</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H730BD1B916AA40E1A04E6A801EFA4C16"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>, or may apply the advancement of time for the duration of the year to the entire area of the State lying within any time zone</quote> before the period at the end.</text></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
