<section id="H16446F1891ED4904BB4A6EDD878E9626" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Strengthening Our Schools Act of 2025</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>SOS Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H201998993A9A474BB394034D686CCB88"><enum>2.</enum><header>Funding for school resource officers</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1101(a)(11) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10261">34 U.S.C. 10261(a)(11)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H39A3783F50744B449383BE8BA1014056"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>$1,047,119,000 for each of fiscal years 2006 through 2009</quote> and inserting <quote>$1,097,119,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2035</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD83226BCE7244A90B5F22FAC1C2E1654"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by inserting after <quote>of the purposes of part Q</quote> the following: <quote>, and not less than $50,000,000 shall be allocated for grants pursuant to applications submitted by units of local government or law enforcement agencies for the purposes described in section 1701(b)(12)</quote>. </text></paragraph></section>
