R. 1252</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20250212">February 12, 2025</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="J000304">Mr. Jackson of Texas</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="B001307">Mr. Baird</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001224">Mr. Self</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="H001098">Mr. Hamadeh of Arizona</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="V000134">Ms. Van Duyne</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="W000814">Mr. Weber of Texas</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HFA00">Committee on Foreign Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To direct the Secretary of State to submit to Congress a report on funding provided by the United States to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H45B25665D5AC46B0AA19EA6FAC48E860" style="OLC"><section id="H4D00BC62AD4A4144A6E24D231F035D7D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Uncovering UNRWA’s Terrorist Crimes Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HD463B155974F4D40A88E52BA97E6DC77"><enum>2.</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State shall submit to Congress a report that—</text><paragraph id="H231384B12C544BE2BF7134FCE1AD5E54"><enum>(1)</enum><text>identifies the total amounts of funding provided by the United States to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) during fiscal years 2020 through 2024, including an identification of such amounts disaggregated by calendar month of such fiscal years; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H0EFD433FBF074AFDA0CF3E6DCFCD5DA1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>a description of how such funds were spent.</text></paragraph></section><section id="H03424B03BF124BEDB87FB871B636E2D3"><enum>3.</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Effective beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, no Federal funds may be used to provide funding, directly or indirectly, to UNRWA.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
