<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>118th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4090</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20240409">April 9, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S396">Mrs. Blackburn</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="S397">Mr. Braun</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S399">Mr. Hawley</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S374">Mr. Cotton</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSHR00">Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To withhold Federal funding from any college or university that employs illegal aliens on campus.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id77c6d0c45520434c8b9dcd7300c7371a" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Enforcing the Rule of Law on Campus Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7fc3450f8be8478b97d44c3ae386e6cd"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Ineligibility of colleges and universities that employ illegal aliens to receive Federal funding</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any institution of higher education (as defined in section 102 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1002">20 U.S.C. 1002</external-xref>)) with a policy or practice of employing aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States at any campus of such institution in violation of section 274A of the Immigration and Nationality Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1324a">8 U.S.C. 1324a</external-xref>) shall be ineligible to receive any Federal funding.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
