<whereas><text>Whereas the United States is a diverse nation that strives to value the unique talents and contributions of every person;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas neurodiversity includes all neurological differences, and it is estimated that 15 to 20 percent of the world’s population, including more than 50 million people in the United States, exhibit forms of neurodivergence;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas neurodivergent individuals have made significant contributions to numerous fields, including science, technology, the arts, medicine, political leadership, and advocacy, all of which enhance the cultural and economic fabric of society;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas ensuring neurodivergent individuals are embraced and included in society is a question of basic civil rights and is a matter of paramount importance;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas countless advocates and organizations across the United States have worked tirelessly through generations to raise awareness of neurodivergent people, eliminate stigma, challenge barriers to progress, and provide support to neurodivergent individuals;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas neurodivergent individuals often approach challenges and problem-solving in novel and valuable ways, and allowing for the persistence of societal barriers to their full inclusion in dignity and opportunity causes the Nation both moral and material diminishment; and</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas providing for the support and inclusion of neurodivergent individuals in all spheres of life will make the United States a stronger and more just nation, foster innovation and creativity, and bring us closer to realizing the ideals of our founding: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="traditional" id="H824BBA94DF05468380165200E3CB24B1"> <section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H4E4EB24EC66F44AB9E782C5EABB5E1C7"><text>That the House of Representatives—</text> 
<paragraph id="HF95CDD94B6D847FAB518C6D2568348DB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>recognizes the importance and contributions of neurodivergent people to the United States;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HFAC2C9A781D44ABDB15DF8953F8EECDE"><enum>(2)</enum><text>encourages continued efforts to raise awareness about neurodiversity, promote inclusion and belonging, and eliminate ableism associated with neurodiversity;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H0165E02E0AEB4490875D77C44905F95F"><enum>(3)</enum><text>commends organizations, advocates, and individuals who have worked to support neurodivergent individuals and create opportunities for progress; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H09D61A84F6B542F0AE2FBEEB7FF0E8FD"><enum>(4)</enum><text>calls on all people in the United States to work toward a society that is inclusive and supportive of every person regardless of identity or disability.</text></paragraph></section>
