Short title

This Act may be cited as the Trailer Safety Improvement Act.

Trailer safety programs

Section 402(a)(2)(A)(xiv) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by inserting , prevent improper and unsafe use of light-duty and medium-duty trailers, and educate the public about required trailer safety equipment and preventive maintenance after unsecured vehicle loads.
