R. 8379 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 14, 2024 Mr. Gottheimer (for himself, Mr. Menendez, and Mr. Gallego) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure A BILL To codify certain rules issued by the Secretary of Transportation relating to airline fare transparency, and for other purposes.

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Enhancing Transparency from Airlines Act of 2024 or the ETA Act of 2024.

2.

Codification of rules relating to airline fare transparency

The following final rules issued by the Secretary of Transportation shall have the force and effect of law: (1)The rule titled Refunds and Other Consumer Protections and published on April 26, 2024 (89 Fed. Reg. 32760). (2)The rule titled Enhancing Transparency of Airline Ancillary Service Fees and published on April 30, 2024 (89 Fed. Reg. 34620).
