Short title

This Act may be cited as the Youth Suicide Prevention Research Act.

NSF research regarding childhood suicide

Subsection (a) of section 3 of the Advancing Research to Prevent Suicide Act is amended— (1)in paragraph (4), by striking and after the semicolon; (2)by redesignating paragraph (5) as paragraph (7); and (3)by inserting after paragraph (4) the following new paragraphs: (5)basic understanding of the role of adverse childhood experiences; (6)basic understanding of the role of toxic stress in childhood; and.
