Short title

This Act may be cited as the Gifts for Officials, Legislators and Delegate (GOLD) Standard Act of 2024.

Official act defined

Section 201(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking paragraph (3) and inserting the following: (3)the term official act means any decision, action, approval, disapproval, recommendation, rendering of advice, or investigation on any question, matter, cause, suit, proceeding or controversy, which may at any time be pending, or which may by law be brought before any public official, in such official’s official capacity, or in such official’s place of trust or profit..
