R. 7620</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20240311">March 11, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="N000190">Mr. Norman</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="P000619">Mrs. Peltola</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="P000599">Mr. Posey</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="R000612">Mr. Rose</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="R000603">Mr. Rouzer</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="L000564">Mr. Lamborn</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M000194">Ms. Mace</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C001103">Mr. Carter of Georgia</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="Z000018">Mr. Zinke</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="R000103">Mr. Rosendale</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="B000825">Ms. Boebert</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HII00">Committee on Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to require the acceptance of cash payments for entrance fees at units of the National Park System.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H895A1E61ECD64FD1AB2DBDF50072981C" style="OLC"><section id="H023A0FE73690491BBBC2FC680391C485" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Protecting Access to Recreation with Cash Act </short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>PARC Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HCEA53113FEAD4784A64FEEFE35F3E7C8"><enum>2.</enum><header>Acceptance of cash payments for entrance fees at units of the National Park System</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 803(e) of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6802">16 U.S.C. 6802(e)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF4B08043F13E441AB6E51CB7AF66AFC0"><paragraph id="H1F64C99A338B46738F050FDD7A969E67"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Acceptance of cash payments required</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior shall require that any unit of the National Park System at which an entrance fee is charged in accordance with paragraph (1) accept cash as a form of payment for the entrance fee.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
