<official-title display="yes">To amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to include an additional permissible use of amounts provided as grants under the Byrne JAG program, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="H020196C9F5714D47BA933F65FD2EB4E7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Empowering Law Enforcement To Fight Sex Trafficking Demand Act of 2024</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H270405DAB42941A892A8CB8BB1CC119E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional authorized use of Byrne JAG funds</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 501(a)(1) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10152">34 U.S.C. 10152(a)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following: </text>
