R. 7218</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20240205">February 5, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="G000558">Mr. Guthrie</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="T000469">Mr. Tonko</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S000522">Mr. Smith of New Jersey</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="W000187">Ms. Waters</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title III of the Public Health Service Act to extend the program for promotion of public health knowledge and awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H31B2D54B10D643CDBFDA25FFEE0B8E1F" style="OLC"><section id="H1644FB20BA4B4D27BF8B85B1F5762E7E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>BOLD Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Reauthorization Act of 2024</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H1EA37654C06448AAB5000FEEB80C7C30"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension of program for promotion of public health knowledge and awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 398B(e) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280c-5">42 U.S.C. 280c–5(e)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting <quote>and $33,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029</quote> before the period at the end. </text></section></legis-body></bill>
