R. 7205</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20240201">February 1, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="N000191">Mr. Neguse</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="S001148">Mr. Simpson</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="F000469">Mr. Fulcher</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To authorize additional district judgeships for the districts of Colorado and Idaho.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H98140C506FF34964B68F6A5C8B3D8FAB" style="OLC"><section section-type="section-one" id="HA2E2C0188C7041618C234153885459C6"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Rocky Mountain Judgeship Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H242E4875864A4FA1AD46F2B6316FA9F0"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional district judgeships for the districts of Colorado and Idaho</header><subsection id="HAC951F96F1124DB3B96E6F9509BC4358"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Colorado</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, 2 additional district judges for the district of Colorado.</text></subsection><subsection id="H7F2C920951FD4DDF92BC9EB50920A93F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Idaho</header><text>The President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, 1 additional district judges for the district of Idaho.</text></subsection><subsection id="H56E18E137B904AD8AA65ECE69C17AA71"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Technical and conforming amendments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table in section 133(a) of title 28, United States Code, is amended—</text><paragraph id="H443EFFC6104D46FFB0EA3E8C817F8902"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking the item relating to Colorado and inserting the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HEB8A84AA87194A8494EDE15236CDBAAD"><table blank-lines-before="1" table-type="" align-to-level="section" frame="none" colsep="0" rowsep="0" line-rules="no-gen" rule-weights="0.0.0.0.0.0" table-template-name="Generic: 1 text, 1 num"><tgroup cols="2" rowsep="0" thead-tbody-ldg-size="10.10.12" grid-typeface="1.1"><colspec colname="column1" colwidth="269pts" coldef="txt" min-data-value="200"></colspec><colspec colname="column2" colwidth="56pts" coldef="fig" min-data-value="10"></colspec><tbody><row><entry colname="column1" align="left" stub-definition="txt-ldr" stub-hierarchy="1" leader-modify="force-ldr">Colorado</entry><entry colname="column2" align="right" leader-modify="force-ldr">9</entry></row></tbody></tgroup></table><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph><paragraph id="HF3EB9ADA4CBC4E508794CC656925ADC2"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking the item relating to Idaho and inserting the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4A7FC7F68A214F34892FD9CD3EEEC309"><table table-type="" align-to-level="section" frame="none" colsep="0" rowsep="0" blank-lines-before="1" line-rules="no-gen" rule-weights="0.0.0.0.0.0" table-template-name="Generic: 1 text, 1 num"><tgroup cols="2" rowsep="0" thead-tbody-ldg-size="10.10.12" grid-typeface="1.1"><colspec colname="column1" colwidth="269pts" coldef="txt" min-data-value="200"></colspec><colspec colname="column2" colwidth="56pts" coldef="fig" min-data-value="10"></colspec><tbody><row><entry colname="column1" align="left" stub-definition="txt-ldr" stub-hierarchy="1" leader-modify="force-ldr">Idaho</entry><entry colname="column2" align="right" leader-modify="force-ldr">3</entry></row></tbody></tgroup></table><after-quoted-block>. </after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
