<section id="H1773130055024BEF8C9EDC561E9881ED" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Equalizing the negotiation period between small-molecule and biologic candidates under the Drug Price Negotiation Program</header>
<subsection id="H2B9EBC48547146F69428FCCA5F4833C8"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1192(e)(1)(A)(ii) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1320f-1">42 U.S.C. 1320f–1(e)(1)(A)(ii)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>7 years</quote> and inserting <quote>11 years</quote>.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H5F4E299E8D884B4FA7D2693DE9959BEB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect as if included in the enactment of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/117/169">Public Law 117–169</external-xref>.</text></subsection></section>
