R. 10417</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20241216">December 16, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="B001281">Mrs. Beatty</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="M001188">Ms. Meng</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="N000147">Ms. Norton</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001207">Ms. Sherrill</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="W000808">Ms. Wilson of Florida</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HED00">Committee on Education and the Workforce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act to permit services provided by grant recipients to include provision of sanitary napkins and tampons.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H1B0198D8258D40FEA3CFCB97F1F1C569" style="OLC"><section id="HD46C8AD1296240F89A2FAF14BF04C185" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Homeless Youth Menstrual Product Access Act of 2024</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H95BFBAA03FFA46DD9C16F8FC4C47A55D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 311(a)(2)(C) of the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/11211">42 U.S.C. 11211(a)(2)(C)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H7776D631000347C697447C1C0FFE842A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in clause (iii) by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H1DBCB7339C4D4C059302582F425DC4FD"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in clause (iv) by striking the period at the end; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HC109D731A64548D096C0B4D0C5F66ECB"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H58A1FB07B8924DDAB9C73EEA3378874E" style="traditional"><clause id="HF78F3BD27F2E4AC5AECDD361626EFF7C"><enum>(v)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provision of sanitary napkins and tampons that conform to applicable industry standards.</text></clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
