<whereas><text>Whereas, in 1972, Congress enacted Title IX in order to end unjust sex discrimination in education and provide women greater opportunity to participate in athletics, including college athletics;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas the Biden Administration proposed changes to Title IX that would allow biological men to play in women’s sports;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas there are fundamental biological differences between men and women, including the XX chromosomes for women and the XY chromosomes for men;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas these fundamental biological differences put women at a competitive disadvantage in sports;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas, in recent years more and more biological men have been allowed to compete in women’s sports;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas, between 2003 and 2022, biological men have won 28 women’s sports titles, including the 2019 national championship for bench press, the 100- and 200-meter high school New England Regional Championships in 2018, and the 500-yard Division I NCAA swimming championship in 2022;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas <quote>emotional pain</quote>, <quote>lost experiences</quote>, <quote>denied opportunities</quote>, and <quote>traumatized</quote> have been words used to describe the experience of biological women who have been forced to compete against biological men in sports; and</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas October 10th is symbolized by the Roman numerals <quote>XX</quote>: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble>

<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H450538A7D38B4C05BDA86125739B2D24" section-type="undesignated-section"><enum/><text>That the House of Representatives—</text> <paragraph id="HCC52B96FE2824A8589AFA8BC0BE16C13"><enum>(1)</enum><text>opposes forcing biological women and girls to compete against biological boys and men in girls’ and women’s sports;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HCEC92CF278964218A2073EFFB1A0173B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>opposes the weakening of Title IX protections; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H7520712419DC4973A50D2FE902466226"><enum>(3)</enum><text>supports the designation of a “Real Women’s Day”.</text></paragraph></section>
