R. 6565</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20231201">December 1, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S001214">Mr. Steube</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HHM00">Homeland Security</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To establish a system to expedite gate passes and flight access procedures to allow caregivers, parents, and guardians to accompany minors and passengers needing assistance to their flights.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H436F4C2FEE6A4064AF23C5858978E92A" style="OLC"><section id="HEFC0A0C046BF4C21B847A04DF81F022F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Fast Lane for Youths Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>FLY Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H49AB30CEF8FA4ED0894135D38090FDDC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Establishment of system to expedite gate passes and flight access procedures to allow caregivers, parents, and guardians to accompany minors and passengers needing assistance to their flights</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) shall collaborate to establish a system to better expedite gate passes and flight access procedures to allow caregivers, parents, and guardians to accompany minors and passengers needing assistance to their flights. Such system shall ensure up to two such gate passes are provided to such caregivers, parents, and guardians who already qualify for TSA Pre-Check, and such gate passes note such status in the same manner and to the same extent as such status would be noted on a ticket issued to such caregivers, parents, and guardians.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
