R. 6364</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20231113">November 13, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="B001306">Mr. Balderson</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="D000628">Mr. Dunn of Florida</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001183">Mr. Schweikert</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="J000292">Mr. Johnson of Ohio</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="C001126">Mr. Carey</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HWM00">Ways and Means</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to maintain certain telehealth flexibilities relating to provider privacy under the Medicare program.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H7E7946031E8D497DB8215D8F6A2A6898" style="OLC"><section id="H409D5E42D2A34CCEB3A441AC97E8E523" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Medicare Telehealth Privacy Act of 2023</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H3EEDD8C4811445228E67377AFEF25F84"><enum>2.</enum><header>Maintaining certain telehealth flexibilities relating to provider privacy under the Medicare program</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1834(m) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395m">42 U.S.C. 1395m(m)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="HD050DE502BC74FA8935B663AD105C2F5" display-inline="no-display-inline"><paragraph id="H42E6E1CE30F543C3B83BE4D7EA8E5D5C"><enum>(10)</enum><header>Ensuring physician and practitioner privacy</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In the case of a physician or practitioner who elects to furnish telehealth services at a distant site that is the home of such physician or practitioner, if the Secretary requires such physician or practitioner to include the address of such home on any enrollment form of such physician or practitioner under this title (or requires such physician or practitioner to bill for such services using such address), the Secretary may not make such address available to the public in any manner.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
