<section id="HD538E22AB2934534BD64CD9D22C507A2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Deterring Attempts at Dirty Deals by Youngsters Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote>DADDY Act</quote> .</text></section> <section id="HA83EE311B69D44059283696E6B479F21" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limit on foreign employment of immediately family of certain officials</header> <subsection id="HDB42433AE6DA47BCB14A9415FC3F4114"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An immediate family member of a covered person may not be employed by a foreign company.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H01E637F46FBD459389623EFDEDF29E4D" commented="no"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Penalty</header><text>Any individual who willfully violates subsection (a) shall be fined not more than $250,000 or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H8C2613D4E2CA4B1694474120DFB371AF"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>This Act shall take effect on the date that is two weeks after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HCD890F74F2034594BB5A041FF8366569"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this Act:</text> <paragraph id="HD2927A3B75464F0883A83C9C838894FD"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Covered foreign country</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>covered foreign country</term> means any country other than—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H640F292DE53940D09C493A85AD39F533"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the United States;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H9D937939CB484B14BD638B2015DD56FE"><enum>(B)</enum><text>a country that is a member of—</text> 
<clause id="H7035A7EBFE994176813A23DCB406518D"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; or</text></clause> <clause id="H8F1F922B04F24475902BEF757003E00F"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the Five Eyes Alliance;</text></clause></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H79BCC397EB3D42949E73F3CA3E66B8C3"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Japan;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H113ECB1EB6354CF3BB09EDC098C03543"><enum>(D)</enum><text>the Republic of Korea; or</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HA3860415B31B4A31AD6CC5CAF4FC9E7B"><enum>(E)</enum><text>Israel.</text></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H779FCE9756B64BB3B60BFE913A5120B5"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Covered person</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>covered person</term> means the—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HD81AD01D6F9D4C48A4A84242EA969B7F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>President;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HFECEE3320EA34339AAC445D29E080016"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Vice President;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HF3A3A64E65B544DDAAFF80AE99AA2647"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Secretary of State;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HA99ADAEF4E6949F0A8E6707919B17ABC"><enum>(D)</enum><text>Secretary of the Treasury;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HA52D322E5DC3420F928E7E5B5C5B57A0"><enum>(E)</enum><text>Secretary of Defense;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H39F67C3D09C447B195231F59D17E015F"><enum>(F)</enum><text>Attorney General;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HED615DA184574D5E853F3E61E7756996"><enum>(G)</enum><text>Secretary of the Interior;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H47AEAFB127E541F8A48B5B7F2F9A7DEF"><enum>(H)</enum><text>Secretary of Agriculture;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H5C38DF35944E432689834B16577D8BCA"><enum>(I)</enum><text>Secretary of Commerce;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H22A8616E8B3F4C81A6B041C17F6C8B7B"><enum>(J)</enum><text>Secretary of Labor;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H6E7080D0B23C4CFB8F8DBD826A6EEA49"><enum>(K)</enum><text>Secretary of Health and Human Services;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HB9FEB0F84E5A47ACB27A73C68DFFB41B"><enum>(L)</enum><text>Secretary of Housing and Urban Development;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H021052EBC95A40BB9FA40733B10B2994"><enum>(M)</enum><text>Secretary of Transportation;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H96FBDDA1608E4DC4AC8B8925256EFB7F"><enum>(N)</enum><text>Secretary of Energy;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H5ECB6853E4FC4A19941C9448D2D73C57"><enum>(O)</enum><text>Secretary of Education;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H5D0EA4C32DAF4B4492AC28F0110A202F"><enum>(P)</enum><text>Secretary of Veterans Affairs;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H5879F3A446A4400BA57028D6B5946E52"><enum>(Q)</enum><text>Secretary of Homeland Security; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HE6DD2DF4CCF8441E83B70B86EA29B037"><enum>(R)</enum><text>Director of National Intelligence.</text></subparagraph> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H01F8810C2AC24B2F9B405E3FA0D5B1DF"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Five Eyes Alliance</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>Five Eyes Alliance</term> means the group consisting of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB4A0022F3EB24023849C3FD34BABB896"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Foreign company</header><text>The term <term>foreign company</term> means a company that is organized under the laws of or has its principal place of business in a covered foreign country.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HDA6965E4D28E4E798FA617E244E120C1"><enum>(5)</enum><header>Immediate family member</header> 
<subparagraph id="H347EFD8819424420846C2E321E7EDEA5"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The term <term>immediate family member</term> means a spouse, child, mother, father, sibling, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HC615C5E781E3488F918C6100B0592DFA"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Adopted and step-relatives</header><text>For the purposes of subparagraph (A)—</text> 
<clause id="H581705CCB6664259B885889AF7F34104"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the term <term>child</term> includes any stepchild, foster child, and adoptive child with whom the individual has a regular parent-child relationship; and</text></clause> <clause id="H403A8A6368A74A058CC1540D77900C29"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the term <term>sibling</term> includes any step-sibling and adopted sibling.</text> </clause></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section>
