<section id="H80F612AD3B574851BED6EBD6128EEC3F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Promoting Accessibility on Federal Lands Act of 2023</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H9E77A96571CA4FC1BBC8561127A3D446"><enum>2.</enum><header>Comprehensive assessment of accessibility of certain Federal trails, campsites, boat docks, and outdoor recreation facilities</header> <subsection id="H847EAD1B8225427B9E31AE94FD524DD4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 180 days after the date on which appropriations are first made available to carry out this section, the Secretary concerned shall—</text> 
<paragraph id="H52ECD6AD759B42059E1187CAE5BA181C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>carry out a comprehensive assessment of trails, campsites, boat docks and outdoor recreation facilities on the land described in subparagraphs (A) and (B) of subsection (c)(4) to determine the accessibility of such trails, campsites, boat docks, and outdoor recreation facilities for individuals with disabilities; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H908ACC6992904C94AC1A89A9DB6E0024"><enum>(2)</enum><text>make such assessment publicly available on the website of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior, respectively. </text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HBEA920BA58F44B66B4887960CC86F31F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Inclusion of current assessments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">As part of the comprehensive assessment required under subsection (a)(1), the Secretary concerned may use assessments of trails, campsites, boat docks, and outdoor recreation facilities existing on the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H600C1536343443A98A9F4C98E4FEF3EA"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text> 
<paragraph id="H070181B7ED434CA6B77354376311D7B3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Disability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>disability</term> has the meaning given the term in section 3(1) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/12102">42 U.S.C. 12102(1)</external-xref>). </text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H3DCFCC2BE46F4289BB62966EF1FC544B"><enum>(2)</enum><header>National Forest System</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>National Forest System</term> has the meaning given that term in section 11(a) of the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1609">16 U.S.C. 1609(a)</external-xref>).</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H6637E22D1C30431593593FFED77D98BA"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Public land</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>public lands</term> has the meaning given that term in section 103 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/1702">43 U.S.C. 1702</external-xref>). </text> </paragraph> <paragraph id="H05E7BF113D734118B149A8CA5F78FDF5"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Secretary concerned</header><text>The term <term>Secretary concerned</term> means—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H35D7BA8A33E34AA0A203BE6C26F19B2D"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Secretary of Agriculture, with respect to National Forest System lands; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HFFD5CD80BD5543B3A2298EDB50460B49"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the Secretary of the Interior, with respect to public land.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section>
