<section id="H35730EF96A704FEF8747301EF5E0B7A6" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Curbing Offenses on Policing Services Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote>COPS Act</quote> .</text></section> <section id="H9C4794354FA84846B7D46F0D640BF493"><enum>2.</enum><header>Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 111(b) of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H2D05ADAE7F794AEF83413A92D5CE5487"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting after <quote>including</quote> the following: <quote>explosive materials, as defined in section 841, or</quote>;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H9EC496C1F9664019A550AD63C40D6E0C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>shall be fined under this title</quote> and inserting <quote>shall be fined up to $500,000, notwithstanding section 3571,</quote>; and</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HEAB2AECEE90144E1959BCADB8B3E71C7"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking <quote>20 years</quote> and inserting <quote>25 years</quote>.</text></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
