<section id="H5CA10F08BE9E4402B6B85BC483FBCE11" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Preventing Presidential Election Interference Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HB6C18837CE9843A4ADDDE5E22631F29D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Interference by executive branch officials and government employees</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 595 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text>
<paragraph id="HBCA40C9DE4454BDBBCF721C5646F4739"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the section heading, by inserting <quote>a President or Vice President or</quote> before <quote>administrative employees</quote>;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H552F881CDFDC49DDBBE0C6F7DE830EEF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>a President or Vice President, or</quote> before <quote>a person employed</quote>; and</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HB19AC627AE5944D594E80BD0911CA95A"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking <quote>or imprisoned not more than one year,</quote> and inserting <quote>or imprisoned not more than 3 years,</quote>. </text></paragraph></section> <section id="HA57C0916A3424341858072C6187C83B1"><enum>3.</enum><header>Coercion of political activity</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 610 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after <quote>for any person</quote> the following: <quote>, including a President or Vice President,</quote>. </text></section>
