<section id="H23A56D1C5D59402EAD83AA453A042F17" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Technical Assistance for Health Grants Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HDE2E8D027B8A4D859BF613C43DF2D146"><enum>2.</enum><header>Technical assistance</header> <subsection id="H318B104D1040457A9C0E1E1242D3C39C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2008 of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1397">42 U.S.C. 1397</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
<paragraph id="H282A737F78474C96825F398347CFF347"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (b)(4), by striking subparagraph (D); and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H25C324A2FC514657AC0B589D54B514D3"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (c) and (d) as subsections (d) and (e) and inserting after subsection (b) the following:</text>

<subsection id="H7BA963D3886C4A31A3295E3B5D2F3904"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Technical assistance</header>
<paragraph id="H54AA7BDDB174451AB0CC787F2CE42F85"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary shall provide technical assistance—</text> <subparagraph id="H4C862E29DB5E4B259F8D79B540A82DDF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>to assist eligible entities in applying for grants under this section;</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H4B43E47E12F8447193A3283D4E3979C0"><enum>(B)</enum><text>that is tailored to meet the needs of grantees at each stage of the administration of projects for which grants are made under this section;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H11F7C750CB2643B8A42BE2C27B2A624B"><enum>(C)</enum><text>that is tailored to meet the specific needs of Indian tribes, tribal organizations, and tribal colleges and universities;</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="HEC78FCC28CD04EE089A29471CD54A497"><enum>(D)</enum><text>that is tailored to meet the specific needs of the territories;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H55564671D86445BAA159902B63A0E129"><enum>(E)</enum><text>that is tailored to meet the specific needs of eligible entities in carrying out demonstration projects for which a grant is made under this section; and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H62C652603C1F47E09983F1073A50154C"><enum>(F)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to facilitate the exchange of information among eligible entities regarding best practices and promising practices used in the projects.</text></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H771E5ABC256A41F6A76894A7546BC029"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Peer technical assistance conferences</header><text>The Secretary shall hold peer technical assistance conferences for entities to which a grant is made under this section.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H525F7585ED1C484E942368C3AAC273AD"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Report to the congress</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">During each Congress, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Finance of the Senate a report on the nature of any technical assistance provided to grantees under this section.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H56489A28C4C04B9C92C5CBEE0F7428D6"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Funding</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2008(c)(1) of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1397">42 U.S.C. 1397(c)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting <quote>, and to carry out subsection (c) $15,000,000 for fiscal year 2024</quote> before the period.</text></subsection></section>
<section id="H0347B42B937949FC8F4B5F292E2047FE"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The amendments made by this Act shall take effect on October 1, 2023.</text></section> </legis-body></bill>
