The single point of contact shall track the individual’s case to completion and coordinate with other units to resolve issues as quickly as possible.</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H51CC62069843441FA85501E815E3BAF7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Single point of contact</header><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H69E1FFB2746A4826A9C163042A00C272"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>For purposes of subsection (a), the single point of contact shall consist of a team or subset of specially trained employees who—</text><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H3C958DD677294980AEF346F7DC05DC83"><enum>(A)</enum><text>have the ability to coordinate with other units to resolve the issues involved in the individual's case, and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H61A162A28E6048EFAB7A0E3882312315"><enum>(B)</enum><text>shall be accountable for the case until its resolution.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4D6A4C00813F4C51826C28B21EC716AF"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Team or subset</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The employees included within the team or subset described in paragraph (1) may change as required to meet the needs of the Social Security Administration, provided that procedures have been established to—</text><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HC1535D01EC82489A9B497449D4CCC264"><enum>(A)</enum><text>ensure continuity of records and case history, and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H28922609F5564FB6A4226831CE482273"><enum>(B)</enum><text>notify the individual when appropriate.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="HAD98723EB4134346B176B0BAF1C12B84"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section></legis-body><endorsement display="yes"><action-date date="20230912">September 12, 2023</action-date><action-desc>Reported with an amendment, committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
