<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 3852</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20220316">March 16, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S331">Mrs. Gillibrand</sponsor> (for herself and <cosponsor name-id="S270">Mr. Schumer</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To reauthorize the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body style="OLC" display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="HD1B0C01E9C96409C88F81EB586C0C121"><section section-type="section-one" id="H1634111539024239B333BED2383C6695"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Erie Canalway National Heritage Reauthorization Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="idC382045D8FDA429AA1A4E093846B12E0"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor</header><subsection id="id1BD64151DFA144BBAED42412DDDEA448"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>Section 810(a)(1) of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/106/554">Public Law 106–554</external-xref>; 114 Stat. 2763A–303; 131 Stat. 461; 133 Stat. 2714), as amended by section 119(m) of division G of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022, is amended by striking <quote>$16,000,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$18,000,000</quote>. </text></subsection><subsection id="idc4d7866a0ba141ecb027c9b6a1c6ef24"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Reauthorization</header><text>Section 811 of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/106/554">Public Law 106–554</external-xref>; 114 Stat. 2763A–295; 128 Stat. 3802), as amended by section 119(j) of division G of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022, is amended by striking <quote>2023</quote> and inserting <quote>2037</quote>. </text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
