Administration</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Requiring Members of the House of Representatives to post monthly activity reports on their official public websites, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><resolution-body style="OLC" id="H9F0B79B205B84173934058EC0CA1E792"><section id="HEBAC5E8B8AD24969B9EFA8B048554B0E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This resolution may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Congress at Work Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" section-type="subsequent-section" id="H4C1D356FA9A94239B7182F4773A3336F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Posting of monthly Member activity reports</header><subsection id="H43066BEDEC6146F888B404F6CA77C478"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each Member of the House of Representatives, including each Delegate and Resident Commissioner to the Congress, shall post on the Member’s official public website a monthly activity report which consists of the following information:</text><paragraph id="H62E48D7510514799A2CE92B41C5EB80E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Information on the Member’s schedule during the month, as described in paragraph (1) of subsection (b).</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H7A73B399F5734400862081F32394CEF5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Information on the Member’s activity at committee hearings and other meetings during the month, as described in paragraph (2) of subsection (b).</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H14F7788D54E1469AAB63FD45FDAAC307"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Information on the Member’s voting record during the month, as described in paragraph (3) of subsection (b).</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H37825BD663D145BD81C89FAAB63EA90E"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Information on the Member’s legislative activity during the month, as described in paragraph (4) of subsection (b).</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H248DB0E0E31A47A9B466CF3CA3E0EACB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Description of information required</header><paragraph id="H019D9925C7A24E4DBB2A7B7CE61DB5A2"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Schedule</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The information described in this paragraph is a description of the Member’s schedule, including a list of the meetings and events the Member actually attended which were related to the Member’s official and representational duties and the names of the individuals and entities who attended meetings with the Member.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HBDACDA61B2B94599859964B0A3F7E873"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Committee activity</header><text>The information described in this paragraph is a record of the Member’s attendance at hearings and other meetings of each standing, special, and select committee of the House on which the Member sits, together with a record of how the Member voted on each recorded vote (if any) taken at such meetings, presented in the form of a hyperlink to the report posted by the committee under section 3.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HDCDFFFAB929A460FBB93811C8DD2E864"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Voting record</header><text>The information described in this paragraph is a record of how the Member voted on each recorded vote taken in the House or the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, as follows:</text><subparagraph id="H155081E41649433B998EEBC835FB92F4"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The number of the bill, resolution, joint resolution, conference report, or amendment involved, together with a hyperlink to the bill, resolution, joint resolution, conference report, or amendment on congress.gov.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7FFE8A3B03B248B399EF86FA17B032CA"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The roll call number of the recorded vote, together with a hyperlink to the roll call number on the site of the Office of the Clerk of the House.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE2B70689C26441F8A159801ACF45B697"><enum>(C)</enum><text>The date on which the vote was recorded.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H670442746AD84CDEACF1EC1297A39443"><enum>(D)</enum><text>How the Member voted.</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HAE5ED757595041529E4BF020B3516BBE"><enum>(E)</enum><text>A brief description of the bill, resolution, joint resolution, conference report, or amendment involved, or (if applicable) the short title of the bill, resolution, joint resolution, or conference report.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H44B7A998FD4B4EE692ABF43A09E27FE9"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Legislative activity</header><text>The information described in this paragraph is a description of each bill, resolution, and joint resolution which the Member sponsored or cosponsored, presented in the form of a single hyperlink through congress.gov to all such bills, resolutions, and joint resolution.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HF4082FC0A3084C92AFE0A925524014E9"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Deadline</header><text>A Member shall meet the requirements of this section with respect to a month not later than the earlier of—</text><paragraph id="HBD2DE46AC3D0435B92CCB4BC9A9B1262"><enum>(1)</enum><text>60 days after the last day of the month; or</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HA6D0D71DC8A3498A8918233E1D89D2B8"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the last day of the Congress in which the month occurs.</text></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="H711CD45ECDF14F0AAE1536D54720EAF8"><enum>3.</enum><header>Posting of Member activity reports by committees</header><subsection id="H153AB263399145398FE3C0D851A3702A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each standing, special, and select committee of the House of Representatives shall post on its official public website a monthly report on the attendance of the members of the committee at the hearings and other meetings the committee holds during the month, together with the votes cast by members at such meetings.</text></subsection><subsection id="H43FD4D9807B3455B8ED6BEFDD60D5547"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Format of report</header><text>A committee shall post the report required under subsection (a) in a searchable and downloadable format.</text></subsection><subsection id="HCA7110148F024847B818A174CCFB0389"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Deadline</header><text>A committee shall meet the requirements of this section with respect to a month not later than the earlier of—</text><paragraph id="HCF6500A4FD7E4D4E9F84D6102294F775"><enum>(1)</enum><text>60 days after the last day of the month; or</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HD3FE5A7A4F6E4C91B91CD1C6E7600CC3"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the last day of the Congress in which the month occurs.</text></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="H5313914724EF46389B088C10BDFA0713"><enum>4.</enum><header>Regulations</header><subsection id="H167341A94FE54E069E5196BAC0DBD87B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Promulgation of regulations</header><paragraph id="H83760098EB114C068DA8009A808BFC35"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Committee on House Administration shall promulgate such regulations as may be necessary to carry out this resolution, including regulations to enforce the requirements of this resolution.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H1C36B4E3E1E24B779467075F0E61618B"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Preventing disclosure of classified information</header><text>In promulgating regulations under this subsection, the Committee shall ensure that the posting of information by a Member under section 2 and the posting of reports by a committee under section 3 does not result in the disclosure of classified information.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HD881250A408F469E9305858266A4BA9B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Information from CAO</header><text>The Chief Administrative Officer shall notify the Committee on House Administration if a Member or committee fails to meet the applicable requirements of this resolution.</text></subsection></section></resolution-body></resolution>
