RES. 1265</legis-num><associated-doc role="report" display="yes">[Report No. 117–524]</associated-doc><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220726">July 26, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="D000615">Mr. Duncan</sponsor> submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220929">September 29, 2022</action-date><action-desc>Reported adversely from the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name>, referred to the House Calendar, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></action><legis-type>RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Of inquiry requesting the President to provide certain documents to the House of Representatives relating to plans to exploit the energy crisis to pursue a radical climate agenda.</official-title></form><resolution-body style="traditional" id="H6C2C5E5E572D4A4D8570DE9E97764853"><section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H56C6B18DD4D44CE99B97816C835BC3E4"><enum/><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">That the President is requested to transmit to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after the date of adoption of this resolution, copies of all documents, memoranda, and advisory legal opinions, including notes from meetings, memos, and telephone and electronic mail records, to the extent that any such one or more items are within the possession of the President and refer or relate to the following:</text><paragraph id="H3CB3F15EDAC9499DB712DA70814FF756"><enum>(1)</enum><text>A strategy or plan to issue executive actions, Federal policies, or regulations that cause or contribute to energy price increases.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HDC9152A3C7B8450294107AE133693502"><enum>(2)</enum><text>A strategy or plan to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin for record high energy prices forced on American consumers.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H3BF9F35BCA3948449AA1DF51142506D1"><enum>(3)</enum><text>A strategy or plan to exploit the energy crisis to pursue a radical anti-fossil fuel climate agenda.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4C3C94A3DEF44B279DB17899E3EB10FA"><enum>(4)</enum><text>A strategy or plan to impose punitive restrictions on American energy workers, including a ban on the export of crude oil or petroleum products.</text></paragraph></section></resolution-body><endorsement display="yes"><action-date date="20220929">September 29, 2022</action-date><action-desc>Reported adversely from the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name>, referred to the House Calendar, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></resolution>
