<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 2424</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210721">July 21, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S311">Ms. Klobuchar</sponsor> (for herself and <cosponsor name-id="S342">Mr. Blunt</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSCM00">Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To make available $250,000,000 from the Travel Promotion Fund for the Corporation for Travel Promotion.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Restoring Brand USA Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id4ab2812ecf8c431e897a60b136b039d0"><enum>2.</enum><header>Availability of Travel Promotion Fund for Brand USA</header><subsection id="idEB46FCE92189448BB57CB95E6DD7DD2B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Treasury, subject to subsection (b), and notwithstanding any other provision of law, shall make available, from unobligated balances remaining available from fees collected before October 1, 2020, and credited to Travel Promotion Fund established under subsection (d) of the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2131">22 U.S.C. 2131(d)</external-xref>), $250,000,000 for the Corporation for Travel Promotion (commonly known as <quote>Brand USA</quote>). Such amounts shall remain available until expended.</text></subsection><subsection id="id5A988938E6E24D7D98BC2A99C9341CD2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Inapplicability of certain requirements and limitations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The limitations and requirements set forth in paragraphs (2)(B) and (3) of subsection (d) of such Act shall not apply to amounts made available under subsection (a).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
