 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Veterans Legal Support Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id75f66dc55c75499cb25a77b2b4e720c2"><enum>2.</enum><header>Department of
			 Veterans Affairs support for university legal clinics that assist
			 veterans</header><subsection id="idae8b983eaf854f12b848dae072b8734e"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Support
 authorized</header><text>The Secretary of Veterans Affairs may provide support to one or more university law school programs that are designed to provide legal assistance to veterans.</text></subsection><subsection id="id787608CB1BA3465BAFE320BED19ECE1A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Eligible
 programs</header><text>Programs of university law schools which may receive support under subsection (a) may include programs that assist veterans with—</text><paragraph id="id93B0D79FC90C4EFCAEEA5FF1B6D1C896"><enum>(1)</enum><text>filing and appealing claims for benefits under laws administered by the Secretary; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id7039DA1752CC4CEAA0421318C41719D5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>such other civil, criminal, and family legal matters as the Secretary considers appropriate.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idf1a54e192d254720b47d1f5dc220cea0"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Financial
			 support</header><paragraph id="id312faf80f697451f88e9e528f25514ea"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
 general</header><text>The support provided a program under subsection (a) may include financial support of the program.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id0b0d2be2ef46463499b02a87b3458186"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Limitation on
 amount</header><text>The total amount of financial support provided under subsection (a) in any fiscal year may not exceed $2,000,000.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id7754676bf7a84e708e8af0e5c2ee173f"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Funding</header><text>Amounts for financial support under subsection (a) shall be derived from amounts appropriated or otherwise made available to the General Operating Expenses account of the Veterans Benefits Administration.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
