<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><calendar>Calendar No. 38</calendar><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 108</legis-num><associated-doc role="report">[Report No. 117–10]</associated-doc><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210128">January 28, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S350">Mr. Rubio</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S404">Mr. Scott of Florida</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SLIA00">Committee on Indian Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><action stage="Reported-in-Senate"><action-date>April 14, 2021</action-date><action-desc>Reported by <sponsor name-id="S353">Mr. Schatz</sponsor>, without amendment</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To authorize the Seminole Tribe of Florida to lease or transfer certain land, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body style="OLC" display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" section-type="section-one" id="id88B08A8D78FE402AB29CB24F3A23A02A"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Approval not required to validate certain land transactions of the Seminole Tribe of Florida</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id948847033925404c92cfc75479db8ed1"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, without further approval, ratification, or authorization by the United States, the Seminole Tribe of Florida may lease, sell, convey, warrant, or otherwise transfer all or any part of the interest of the Seminole Tribe of Florida in any real property that is not held in trust by the United States for the benefit of the Seminole Tribe of Florida.</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idd4ceb22b709d412ab9d57fe739193607"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Trust land not affected</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this section—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idf3b43ea78b8246249ac7daf4e92ac196"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">authorizes the Seminole Tribe of Florida to lease, sell, convey, warrant, or otherwise transfer all or any part of an interest in any real property that is held in trust by the United States for the benefit of the Seminole Tribe of Florida; or</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1b31f5aa0cd84f9fb3d77deaad859972"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">affects the operation of any law governing leasing, selling, conveying, warranting, or otherwise transferring any interest in any real property that is held in trust by the United States for the benefit of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. </text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body><endorsement><action-date>April 14, 2021</action-date><action-desc>Reported without amendment</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
