<section id="H91F9C2917FD5428BB437120F5E82D8E0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Protecting American Energy Production Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section id="H9ABE15DBA4F348DE9EE9D6EDC885E3A5" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Protecting American energy production</header> <subsection id="HCC0A024444BB415EA521574A017D0FAC"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Sense of Congress</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">It is the sense of Congress that States should maintain primacy for the regulation of hydraulic fracturing for oil and natural gas production on State and private lands.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H63E5267D22C24775803CAD81F1DF6AB9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Prohibition on declaration of a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the President may not declare a moratorium on the use of hydraulic fracturing unless such moratorium is authorized by an Act of Congress.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
