R. 3208</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210513">May 13, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="M001210">Mr. Murphy of North Carolina</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="G000590">Mr. Green of Tennessee</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="J000302">Mr. Joyce of Pennsylvania</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title 1, United States Code, to define the term infrastructure, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H66D7176B92214BE08A77602AC1DAEDFB" style="OLC"><section id="H7797A9E4B0AD49F9BAAF19627CB809CA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Infrastructure defined</header><subsection id="H872B7B2B9A594BF486F202BE8804459A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/1/1">Chapter 1</external-xref> of title 1, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: </text><quoted-block style="USC" id="H85048C41BC4840F29290270A6B113E5E" display-inline="no-display-inline"><section id="HC64A2B49087A48369A928426F5B3C082"><enum>9.</enum><header>Infrastructure defined</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In determining the meaning of any Act of Congress, or of any ruling, regulation, or interpretation of the various administrative bureaus and agencies of the United States, except where context determines otherwise, the term <quote>infrastructure</quote> means bridges, dams, wharfs, roads, highways, ports, buildings, public utilities (including broadband), airports, and train stations. </text></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="HB91CA9D66117448891CF72D5E4BE6C3F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The analysis for <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/1/1">chapter 1</external-xref> of title 1, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: </text><quoted-block style="USC" id="H9CC8414C84D04EA2BFC6FBC88EF0CD80" display-inline="no-display-inline"><toc regeneration="no-regeneration"><toc-entry level="section">9.
