such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To reauthorize Department of Justice programs that combat violence against women, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H5AF948A214A646DE97FFFB52F94B4024" style="OLC"><section id="H1A419DFC987E48E2973E183EFE6401BE" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Violence Against Women Extension Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H29A619119FAF421191D8F50B12DFEB1C"><enum>2.</enum><header>STOP grants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1001(a)(18) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10261">34 U.S.C. 10261(a)(18)</external-xref>), is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" id="HE1F6EC5BABF448E49222588902FD54B5"><enum>3.</enum><header>Grants to encourage arrest policies and enforcement of protection orders</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1001(a)(19) of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/10261">34 U.S.C. 10261(a)(19)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" id="H7CA132A4CA654A109C722A29A47AD4E7"><enum>4.</enum><header>Legal assistance for victims</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1201(f)(1) of the Violence Against Women Act of 2000 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/20121">34 U.S.C. 20121(f)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" id="H796729C288FA4A819F7A9D7B49AD682F"><enum>5.</enum><header>Grants to support families in the justice system</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1301(e) of the Violence Against Women Act of 2000 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12464">34 U.S.C. 12464(e)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HB5B5018259CD4447BD6D8B582492BFA2"><enum>6.</enum><header>Sex offender management</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 40152(c) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12311">34 U.S.C. 12311(c)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="H26200BDDB0E84766921D46A250BA0395"><enum>7.</enum><header>Court-appointed special advocate program</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 219(a) the Crime Control Act of 1990 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/13014">42 U.S.C. 13014(a)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HF5277CB1A7134547A54DDD58D7384462"><enum>8.</enum><header>Rural domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and child abuse enforcement assistance</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 40295(e)(1) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12341">34 U.S.C. 12341(e)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022,</quote>.</text></section><section id="HA07D25D6DF0C4D22AF631E4B0B5CCAD4"><enum>9.</enum><header>Grants for Enhanced Training and Services To End Abuse Later in Life</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 40801(b)(5) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12421">34 U.S.C. 12421(b)(5)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" id="H5DFCEFF4DC8140A59D01ABF4F6BAAED0"><enum>10.</enum><header>Grants to combat violent crimes on campuses</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 304(e) of the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/20125">34 U.S.C. 20125(e)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" id="H33679B5F9A9F4D23AAFE2086816FF098"><enum>11.</enum><header>Study conducted through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 402(c) of the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b-4">42 U.S.C. 280b–4(c)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of the fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="H3B640CC2D3D44E26B6F804EF5BA25A64"><enum>12.</enum><header>Saving money and reducing tragedies through prevention</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 41303(f) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12463">34 U.S.C. 12463(f)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through stability of victims</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 41404(i) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12474">34 U.S.C. 12474(i)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022,</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="HB35544CD0D7C4D40BDEB943E5BA3E395"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Grants To combat violence against women in public and assisted housing</header><text>Section 41405(g) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12475">34 U.S.C. 12475(g)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022,</quote>.</text></subsection></section><section id="HBADC90B67DA24BC484B9CC100D38682A"><enum>14.</enum><header>National Resource Center on Workplace Responses to assist victims of domestic and sexual violence</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 41501(e) of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12501">34 U.S.C. 12501(e)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="H7E2A70E0E198466B917A601658AAE1E8"><enum>15.</enum><header>Grants for Tribal jurisdiction over crimes of domestic violence</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 204 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/90/284">Public Law 90–284</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/1301">25 U.S.C. 1301</external-xref> et seq.) (commonly known as the <quote>Indian Civil Rights Act of 1968</quote>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022,</quote>.</text></section><section id="H6B4840EAC05B4DE7A9D758A2F7E37C7B"><enum>16.</enum><header>Analysis and research on violence against Indian women</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 905(b)(2) of the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/28/534">28 U.S.C. 534</external-xref> note) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HD8C69B78A18C42469187AC52FF5F1E4F"><enum>17.</enum><header>Stalker database</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 40603 of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12402">34 U.S.C. 12402</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="H2027A659491F42CEA5F0431BD60B0EC9"><enum>18.</enum><header>Federal victim assistance reauthorization</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 40114 of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/103/322">Public Law 103–322</external-xref>; 108 Stat. 1910) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HC52D8541DB2B4A5E8C904F8DA53E1192"><enum>19.</enum><header>Grants for strengthening the healthcare system’s response to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 399P(g) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280g-4">42 U.S.C. 280g–4(g)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HA023EEA7CF254411AF113F355CD6F87B"><enum>20.</enum><header>Training and services to end violence against people with individuals</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"> Section 1402(e) of division B of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/20122">34 U.S.C. 20122(e)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HDBF7D62271704DEC97A93C6814EBE1B4"><enum>21.</enum><header>Sexual assault services program</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"> Section 41601(f)(1) of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/12511">34 U.S.C. 12511(f)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>.</text></section><section id="HEB7FCF10F0814EA1BEA6C20F441F4D1D"><enum>22.</enum><header>Rape survivor child custody</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 409 of the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/21308">34 U.S.C. 21308</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after <quote>for each of fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> the following: <quote>, and for fiscal year 2022</quote>. </text></section></legis-body></bill>
