R. 8325</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20200921">September 21, 2020</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="D000619">Mr. Rodney Davis of Illinois</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="C001059">Mr. Costa</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001298">Mr. Bacon</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S001209">Ms. Spanberger</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HED00">Committee on Education and Labor</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to extend National School Lunch Program requirement waivers addressing COVID–19, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H8C098142609B45B8A678CD898950F56B" style="OLC"><section id="H600E96D2E3EA472083D149AA5E449EBB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Operation Feed Our Kids Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="HD571A952695E479487893FEAB7B8FAE6"><enum>2.</enum><header>National School Lunch Program requirement waivers addressing COVID–19</header><subsection id="H54CA5619762440A2A10AD2E55A5BFCF8"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension of sunset date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2202(e) of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1760">42 U.S.C. 1760</external-xref> note) is amended by striking <quote>September 30, 2020.</quote> and inserting <quote>December 31, 2021.</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="HCD3F3F0EC7D54D5AB8469E0F27459CA9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Extension of prior waivers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">During the 30-day period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture shall extend through at least the end of the 2020–2021 school year at least each waiver available under section 2202 of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1760">42 U.S.C. 1760</external-xref> note) that is, as of September 11, 2020, set to expire on December 31, 2020.</text></subsection><subsection id="H5AF0FD6B3FF84BCA98DCA174BFD71B37"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For an additional amount for <quote>Agricultural Programs—Domestic Food Programs—Food and Nutrition Service—Child Nutrition Programs</quote>, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary, to remain available until December 31, 2021, to carry out sections 2102 and 2202 of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1760">42 U.S.C. 1760</external-xref> note), as amended by subsection (a).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
