Advanced fuels development.</toc-entry></toc></section><section id="HDB8FFC66720C4C48BB5E899BF1AB075F"><enum>3.</enum><header>Advanced nuclear reactor research and development goals</header><subsection id="H1144D9BEDC95406B8FAE63935DC2C127"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Subtitle E of title IX of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/16271">42 U.S.C. 16271</external-xref> et seq.) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block id="H16A39CDE8E7E4C1CB44691ABCEBABF82" style="OLC"><section id="HDBF16549649041A899C8D49D6EDFFD08"><enum>959A.</enum><header>Advanced nuclear reactor research and development goals</header><subsection id="H562B311DCF134113964499810866FAFF"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text><paragraph id="H606B5A4F1D1E4FBD9B2DAA909273FB08"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Advanced nuclear reactor</header><text>The term <quote>advanced nuclear reactor</quote> means—</text><subparagraph id="H8E1C415FF14F41909768A6ED70B952FF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>a nuclear fission reactor, including a prototype plant (as defined in sections 50.2 and 52.1 of title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (or successor regulations)), with significant improvements compared to the most recent generation of fission reactors, including improvements such as—</text><clause id="H36911270B9E14F6FB7344C5A4840399F"><enum>(i)</enum><text>additional inherent safety features;</text></clause><clause id="H51559827DE0B4FA59C4DCC76C6A6F6DC"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>lower waste yields;</text></clause><clause id="H506FAECEC4874D75B1F4F86758C6D50E"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>improved fuel performance;</text></clause><clause id="HEFB85A11C1DF4F09BED92DAE0A66B70C"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>increased tolerance to loss of fuel cooling;</text></clause><clause id="HF2DDA592C68C4DDE9F7DF10458FD59E1"><enum>(v)</enum><text>enhanced reliability;</text></clause><clause id="HF8BFEAF178D14E10930AF5DDDFFC0A5D"><enum>(vi)</enum><text>increased proliferation resistance;</text></clause><clause id="H6DCFEB6F22484142885CD9132D379DB6"><enum>(vii)</enum><text>increased thermal efficiency;</text></clause><clause id="HDB889046A7804EA5B8B11BC835158050"><enum>(viii)</enum><text>reduced consumption of cooling water;</text></clause><clause id="H8A568D43AC544D12A4A3C4C31B3B0BA0"><enum>(ix)</enum><text>the ability to integrate into electric applications and nonelectric applications;</text></clause><clause id="H9AE0A73E9ABB416FB177DF9F5A3F7B51"><enum>(x)</enum><text>modular sizes to allow for deployment that corresponds with the demand for electricity; or</text></clause><clause id="H15902410917542F291516B0D45B21813"><enum>(xi)</enum><text>operational flexibility to respond to changes in demand for electricity and to complement integration with intermittent renewable energy; and</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H014924D012D14F7A890C0FE90FBEDF08"><enum>(B)</enum><text>a fusion reactor.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H1E1EA92348394B28B3153EB75051333B"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Demonstration project</header><text>The term <quote>demonstration project</quote> means—</text><subparagraph id="H5317BA709EE24977884757F79FE4F3C1"><enum>(A)</enum><text>an advanced nuclear reactor operated—</text><clause id="H3A29443572D244128F519F91662EFC18"><enum>(i)</enum><text>as part of the power generation facilities of an electric utility system; or</text></clause><clause id="HB0FC3EA4A3FC45839EE4F1B42C81965E"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>in any other manner for the purpose of demonstrating the suitability for commercial application of the advanced nuclear reactor;</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HCCA41E2BAE2D4ACAA15E1B88EAA5AA42"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the demonstration of privately funded experimental advanced nuclear reactors, funded in whole or in part by the private sector, at National Laboratories or other sites owned by the Department of Energy; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HD0A622F12F0442D7A3F275E5CDC01DF3"><enum>(C)</enum><text>an advanced nuclear reactor demonstrated by the Secretary of Defense in cooperation with the Secretary of Energy.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H623CF6A77F7D475098F2953206CCCDFE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Purpose</header><text>The purpose of this section is to direct the Secretary, as soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this section, to advance the research and development of domestic advanced, affordable, and clean nuclear energy by—</text><paragraph id="HABBE4DE253CB4831B869B7942270A97F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>demonstrating different advanced nuclear reactor technologies that could be used by the private sector to produce—</text><subparagraph id="H0D9F1278D3DA470C9605DB8E0AD54F8B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>emission-free power at a levelized cost of electricity of $60 per megawatt-hour or less;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H87C949FF29844239B767BD3A336E4AD3"><enum>(B)</enum><text>heat for community heating, industrial purposes, or synthetic fuel production;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H1E9F8180E2E54A96B1F96625C538D5BE"><enum>(C)</enum><text>remote or off-grid energy supply; or</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H61E97919142C476281764888928EFC5D"><enum>(D)</enum><text>backup or mission-critical power supplies;</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HF8FDDB407A5D460AA03F389E8E6CB076"><enum>(2)</enum><text>developing subgoals for nuclear energy research programs that would accomplish the goals of the demonstration projects carried out under subsection (c);</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H92A00E3A08C64AA0BD720E2EAA37AA9F"><enum>(3)</enum><text>identifying research areas that the private sector is unable or unwilling to undertake due to the cost of, or risks associated with, the research; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H20AB4294E98F4AF7B79C6EDABD667CA3"><enum>(4)</enum><text>facilitating the access of the private sector—</text><subparagraph id="H7C1CAAC6DDEA477FADC3AF4DE1E5139D"><enum>(A)</enum><text>to Federal research facilities and personnel; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0F9A8A72AB6342B4A067B9C45DF82DCD"><enum>(B)</enum><text>to the results of research relating to civil nuclear technology funded by the Federal Government.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H032124E5686444A481DEE3C667DC046B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Demonstration projects</header><paragraph id="H6B5E497F6E984A0191ABFC67FDF26C16"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary shall, to the maximum extent practicable—</text><subparagraph id="HE6CBABCE72324F9BAC628A588C85C635"><enum>(A)</enum><text>enter into agreements to complete not fewer than two demonstration projects by not later than December 31, 2025; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H89FC02C944944C528AFB1EE0E6F954D7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>establish a program to enter into agreements to demonstrate not fewer than two, and not more than five, additional operational advanced reactor designs by not later than December 31, 2035.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H20FF8DC64B0E4015BE2F83DE511DA83B"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text>In carrying out demonstration projects under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall—</text><subparagraph id="HC68C1F0F9637405A9B018FCBC42E8B10"><enum>(A)</enum><text>include diversity in designs for the advanced nuclear reactors demonstrated under this section, including designs using various—</text><clause id="H49761ED78F994D93A873897A3001BE82"><enum>(i)</enum><text>primary coolants;</text></clause><clause id="H2D61D36F20124F74981657784713DC12"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>fuel types and compositions; and</text></clause><clause id="HCB24862E9B054CFF9ACC85123C73877F"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>neutron spectra;</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H91CCBB27B3194874AC884EC27FFBD990"><enum>(B)</enum><text>seek to ensure that—</text><clause id="H1A2A645F69D94DF49C11EBD9A30B4BE9"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the long-term cost of electricity or heat for each design to be demonstrated under this subsection is cost-competitive in the applicable market; and</text></clause><clause id="HCA4E99A3C16C4E1599AE731F0D2976B8"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the selected projects can meet the deadline established in paragraph (1) to demonstrate first-of-a-kind advanced nuclear reactor technologies, for which additional information shall be considered, including—</text><subclause id="HB70110E0F7484F7883FFE327D4C54CF5"><enum>(I)</enum><text>the technology readiness level of a proposed advanced nuclear reactor technology;</text></subclause><subclause id="H80A38B90BD0746E1BDBFB956FBAE84CF"><enum>(II)</enum><text>the technical abilities and qualifications of teams desiring to demonstrate a proposed advanced nuclear reactor technology; and</text></subclause><subclause id="H14A7FA75A07C48A6AE020601393BD073"><enum>(III)</enum><text>the capacity to meet cost-share requirements of the Department;</text></subclause></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0830B53570AC4F2AA8110446CB560038"><enum>(C)</enum><text>ensure that each evaluation of candidate technologies for the demonstration projects is completed through an external review of proposed designs, which review shall—</text><clause id="HBA3D571FF2D64455B19AA4EA8C72CA80"><enum>(i)</enum><text>be conducted by a panel that includes not fewer than 1 representative of each of—</text><subclause id="HDE819CD22F7A48FAA919EB5960C264A8"><enum>(I)</enum><text>an electric utility; and</text></subclause><subclause id="H2123B2CF377349DF81AC098D9CF75915"><enum>(II)</enum><text>an entity that uses high-temperature process heat for manufacturing or industrial processing, such as a petrochemical company, a manufacturer of metals, or a manufacturer of concrete;</text></subclause></clause><clause id="H2E16E70BD9904A0383C5A4D9BB5FA481"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>include a review of cost-competitiveness and other value streams, together with the technology readiness level, of each design to be demonstrated under this subsection; and</text></clause><clause id="H01A8D02567DA43BA95CE8442D85B57FF"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>not be required for a demonstration project that is not federally funded;</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HB2939CCB75D24906BEE92E23FD9556FA"><enum>(D)</enum><text>for federally funded demonstration projects, enter into cost-sharing agreements with private sector partners in accordance with section 988 for the conduct of activities relating to the research, development, and demonstration of private-sector advanced nuclear reactor designs under the program;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0D11A0B2A376422ABF1653031C6A8EA3"><enum>(E)</enum><text>work with private sector partners to identify potential sites, including Department-owned sites, for demonstrations, as appropriate;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H72A3DF35208248C3BD034AD557ABB4EC"><enum>(F)</enum><text>align specific activities carried out under demonstration projects carried out under this subsection with priorities identified through direct consultations between—</text><clause id="HFC2B1FFC169349368963A2BA3472023D"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the Department;</text></clause><clause id="HE25D0A36BE7842429D87F6A48D28FC61"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>relevant Federal agencies as determined by the Secretary;</text></clause><clause id="H02C2BA6EEDFC45C7953EB91DD6C55EDB"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>National Laboratories;</text></clause><clause id="H84EB71730C0548E7865AE40FFA6B2F5D"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>institutions of higher education;</text></clause><clause id="H3E1470C8BA88413EA1D293BCDA0C4617"><enum>(v)</enum><text>traditional end-users (such as electric utilities);</text></clause><clause id="H2EFBB8DF6BEC400495775E865EF82C04"><enum>(vi)</enum><text>potential end-users of new technologies (such as users of high-temperature process heat for manufacturing processing, including petrochemical companies, manufacturers of metals, or manufacturers of concrete); and</text></clause><clause id="H621E3109711C4E108D3A6629BDAC5BA6"><enum>(vii)</enum><text>developers of advanced nuclear reactor technology; and</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE5259157AFFF44F2BDE1C8AB3568DC8F"><enum>(G)</enum><text>seek to ensure that the demonstration projects carried out under paragraph (1) do not cause any delay in a deployment of an advanced reactor by private industry and the Department of Energy that is underway as of the date of enactment of this section.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HC7B94112B87C42E7ABF18960DF6727EF"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Additional requirements</header><text>In carrying out demonstration projects under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall—</text><subparagraph id="H5D0954E6CA7E4737BE79AFD942C8FE77"><enum>(A)</enum><text>identify candidate technologies that—</text><clause id="HC83FC4D4D0C54C6F9FFA080EB2258B78"><enum>(i)</enum><text>are not developed sufficiently for demonstration within the initial required timeframe described in paragraph (1)(A); but</text></clause><clause id="HDFA852E989DF457DAA4E70B0CC14152B"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>could be demonstrated within the timeframe described in paragraph (1)(B);</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H64FE6324FBF74044A5065D0D5EDD7081"><enum>(B)</enum><text>identify technical challenges to the candidate technologies identified in subparagraph (A);</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H2EE9A35971684750B4B3DE4F0CD83322"><enum>(C)</enum><text>support near-term research and development to address the highest-risk technical challenges to the successful demonstration of a selected advanced reactor technology, in accordance with—</text><clause id="HD253DF2AF8BB4D31AD9673E044CCFBBF"><enum>(i)</enum><text>subparagraph (B); and</text></clause><clause id="H759970D47B1544408B3DD2B44B7D182A"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the research and development activities under section 958; and</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5234B008258F4FC79BD20746E293008F"><enum>(D)</enum><text>establish such technology advisory working groups as the Secretary determines to be appropriate to advise the Secretary regarding the technical challenges identified under subparagraph (B) and the scope of research and development programs to address the challenges, in accordance with subparagraph (C), to be comprised of—</text><clause id="H2DA0B6674463490C82FBB07D282DE88E"><enum>(i)</enum><text>private-sector advanced nuclear reactor technology developers;</text></clause><clause id="HFC016EE40CA34ACE8D2A42A21B45133C"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>technical experts with respect to the relevant technologies at institutions of higher education; and</text></clause><clause id="HC1D9660A05A34D30846E226455D6F2CC"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>technical experts at the National Laboratories.</text></clause></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H2B4D39806BD94A7E850B7A64A1F6D21E"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Goals</header><paragraph id="H59142E257C95461884E083AC81AD18B7"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary shall establish goals for research relating to advanced nuclear reactors facilitated by the Department that support the objectives of the program for demonstration projects established under subsection (c).</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H34677633BC4848B3933E47B38F781D77"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Coordination</header><text>In developing the goals under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall coordinate, on an ongoing basis, with members of private industry to advance the demonstration of various designs of advanced nuclear reactors.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HAAB8028A2ED540718742010C33DA04E9"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text>In developing the goals under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall ensure that—</text><subparagraph id="HD31A241D645E450B917CBE73094445BF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>research activities facilitated by the Department to meet the goals developed under this subsection are focused on key areas of nuclear research and deployment ranging from basic science to full-design development, safety evaluation, and licensing;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H9931F09F200F43F595B15F005CA5BDA7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>research programs designed to meet the goals emphasize—</text><clause id="HEE0770D2DF0248DABC8ABB6833D39D75"><enum>(i)</enum><text>resolving materials challenges relating to extreme environments, including extremely high levels of—</text><subclause id="H6AA3A083F30B4B2986CCD457C7B4F405"><enum>(I)</enum><text>radiation fluence;</text></subclause><subclause id="H288A2FE1A05140FE9A96D7AC43BD6F29"><enum>(II)</enum><text>temperature;</text></subclause><subclause id="HAF128DDE637F4F7A8ECF55C6901DC750"><enum>(III)</enum><text>pressure; and</text></subclause><subclause id="HECE4682C5BDA409CAA2B98E00DF959AA"><enum>(IV)</enum><text>corrosion; and</text></subclause></clause><clause id="HCE7FD01B19664E80A19F6304AD5D02E1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>qualification of advanced fuels;</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H8AAFC09E0BF348188E1607217AC05BDB"><enum>(C)</enum><text>activities are carried out that address near-term challenges in modeling and simulation to enable accelerated design and licensing;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA51F5ECE011C436A904E0F2ED359198B"><enum>(D)</enum><text>related technologies, such as technologies to manage, reduce, or reuse nuclear waste, are developed;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5B0DEF1DC817414B9259FF068055391E"><enum>(E)</enum><text>nuclear research infrastructure is maintained or constructed, such as—</text><clause id="HB8BB96705874434B846DD639539AF293"><enum>(i)</enum><text>currently operational research reactors at the National Laboratories and institutions of higher education;</text></clause><clause id="H4F6E9D2EB1F64B4FB57737D21AA59152"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>hot cell research facilities;</text></clause><clause id="H314350B34C76448191E6EB1D32D116F2"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>a versatile fast neutron source; and</text></clause><clause id="H5E1ED2A1B4D149A1A00A4E33E418A131"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>a molten salt testing facility;</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H995D97BA58654C7490499CF76E63F46E"><enum>(F)</enum><text>basic knowledge of non-light water coolant physics and chemistry is improved;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H873042803D80472D83E75CDCBD5774F5"><enum>(G)</enum><text>advanced sensors and control systems are developed; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFDA4B8A6BEA846849B75D95989319F9F"><enum>(H)</enum><text>advanced manufacturing and advanced construction techniques and materials are investigated to reduce the cost of advanced nuclear reactors.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="HFF97738093FE4336AE230B6F33DCA2AC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Table of contents</header><text>The table of contents of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/58">Public Law 109–58</external-xref>; 119 Stat. 594) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H9348888F5753458DAE8313F48EE075C0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the item relating to section 917, by striking <quote>Efficiency</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H145C9A0B1DCA41DCAB76C08AE24D8DF4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in the items relating to sections 957, 958, and 959, by inserting <quote>Sec.</quote> before <quote>9</quote> each place it appears; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H20D77816FAD849B69AB3FE422AE4689F" commented="no"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting after the item relating to section 959 the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="H9D21B61A6AC24130885B2DBDE20D6CB8" display-inline="no-display-inline"><toc regeneration="no-regeneration"><toc-entry level="section">Sec. 959A. Advanced nuclear reactor research and development goals.</toc-entry></toc><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="HA726E04C632A4840AE3C616809DE7FCB"><enum>4.</enum><header>Advanced fuels development</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 953 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/16273">42 U.S.C. 16273</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="HA90AE7FB0A144F7DBDC3006524EB5CAB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (a) through (d) as paragraphs (1), (3), (4), and (5), respectively, and indenting appropriately;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H648E798D04C24CB18973C2D52F4E465C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (1) (as so redesignated)—</text><subparagraph id="H04700C7375B4458EA20698865B8C8BD4"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>this section</quote> and inserting <quote>this subsection</quote>;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HBEA9652F4F82483E88ED6C4851F8620E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>minimize environmental</quote> and inserting <quote>improve fuel cycle performance while minimizing the cost and complexity of processing, environmental impacts,</quote>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph><paragraph id="H23DCF631032541EBBE3A69D106C68DD0"><enum>(6)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block id="H3EC8C2ECC628421C80A1323DC16F661E" style="OLC"><subsection id="HBD77FCA910F0483A979219A212E73B8A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Advanced fuels</header><paragraph id="H25998F4717804ABC9E40357CC4DF7781"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary shall carry out a program to conduct research relating to—</text><subparagraph id="HFA1ED457C46349F6A1F8EEE20B5FD40F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>next-generation light water reactor fuels that demonstrate improved—</text><clause id="HA28331EDBDE04113960D4D4CEF4C51CB"><enum>(i)</enum><text>performance; and</text></clause><clause id="H6100A314E7B84174A4F680D4F56952E0"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>accident tolerance; and</text></clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HD947CE53D8CB4FD99F4D757FD81CD7EE"><enum>(B)</enum><text>innovative advanced reactor fuels that demonstrate improved—</text><clause id="H4DF62096A1B148B6B2015F3079149A12"><enum>(i)</enum><text>proliferation resistance; and</text></clause><clause id="HE132105A06DE442D8E4732EC13724057"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>use of resources.</text></clause></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H13ED7DC5422A438AB2E433CE4231D336"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text>In carrying out the program under this subsection, the Secretary shall—</text><subparagraph id="HA5F257213EBF4FDD9014EF92AF6FB5F7"><enum>(A)</enum><text>focus on the development of accident-tolerant fuel and cladding concepts that are capable of achieving initial commercialization by December 31, 2025;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H64730D02E9AF44FD8386077BF25ED1F5"><enum>(B)</enum><text>conduct studies regarding the means by which those concepts would impact reactor economics, the fuel cycle, operations, safety, and the environment;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFC0C4B74C2DF49F6911F632BAD1F2019"><enum>(C)</enum><text>support a healthy nuclear fuel cycle capable of providing higher levels of enriched uranium for domestic advanced nuclear development and for national security applications;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFAA3B5F5A3BD48EAA5A373CED11602F1"><enum>(D)</enum><text>subject to paragraph (3), publish the results of the studies conducted under subparagraph (B); and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H54CBBA3CEFE249B8A5E3F425C3CFA872"><enum>(E)</enum><text>cooperate with institutions of higher education through the Nuclear Energy University and Integrated Research Projects programs of the Department.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H53CB3C8A8FD84A049DD171E2C02A3C72"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Sensitive information</header><text>The Secretary shall not publish any information under paragraph (2)(C) that is detrimental to national security, as determined by the Secretary.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H9D167467C2DD4F3F9E60E12A7AD7EA9E"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>From within funds authorized to be appropriated to the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, the Secretary may use to carry out the program under this subsection $120,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2021 through 2025.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
