<official-title display="yes">To expand the boundary of Saguaro National Park, to authorize a study of additional land for potential inclusion in the park, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="H37503EB8BA8C48F1A6459636AB3ACBC8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Saguaro National Park Boundary Expansion and Study Act of 2020</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HD762C996422043F6B4D3889EFEC85400"><enum>2.</enum><header>Boundary of saguaro national park</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 4 of the Saguaro National Park Establishment Act of 1994 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/103/364">Public Law 103–364</external-xref>; 108 Stat. 3467) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H9CBBC4F7B51A400DB08C25022906AB56"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)—</text> <subparagraph id="H21D76D8C32424A84961A7EB5ECC61E16"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>(1)</quote> before <quote>The boundaries of the park</quote>; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H12631066673B43979142FF1870140C91"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block id="H2A98335F14C54CEBABF2CAC6ADFFC8A0" style="OLC"> <paragraph id="HFCE97D742C4843B8A293E8C9D827DF21"><enum>(2)</enum> <subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H25E468B93FB245D5B0F0B409452561D8"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The boundaries of the park are further modified to include approximately 1,232 acres, as generally depicted on the map titled <quote>Saguaro National Park_ Proposed Boundary Adjustment</quote>, numbered 151/80,045G, and dated October 2020.</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HC81A8A45567542BDA583AE58DE3F0345" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The map referred to in subparagraph (A) shall be on file and available for inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H355239AD44F741BAB915B08FAA29FB9A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking subsection (b)(2) and inserting the following new paragraphs:</text>

<paragraph id="HB52ED2B48F3D4FBBAFA96DB29C82C75F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The Secretary may, with the consent of the State of Arizona and in accordance with Federal and State law, acquire land or interests therein owned by the State of Arizona within the boundary of the park.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H2D45E2392BE14700BC62957A3FC67A83"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If the Secretary is unable to acquire the State land under paragraph (2), the Secretary may enter into an agreement with the State that would allow the National Park Service to manage State land within the boundary of the park.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HAE224E6B7E4D44CF98CE34DD9391CF17"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text> <quoted-block id="H07576131285A424DAD40C70A48126F5E" style="OLC"> <subsection id="H053C97DD351E408884E6F86382F0678A"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Boundary study</header> <paragraph id="H1A924396B6C14E6BB3146784EC9745D3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall conduct a study to identify any lands outside the boundaries of the park that may be appropriate for inclusion in the park.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H727D6D2ABA0F43B581733C2635BA5E0D"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Criteria</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The study shall be conducted in accordance with National Park Service criteria for boundary adjustment studies.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H36C053B4C78542A583A0B958074D6BB0"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not later than 3 years after the date funds are made available for the study under this subsection, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate a report on the findings, conclusions, and recommendations of the study.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section>
